We will accompany you in your (and your companion or family members) hospitalization procedures and pre-operative examinations in order to make you feel comfortable. The average time span of a hospital stay for limb-lengthening surgery is 5 days.
For your comfort, the beds can be adjusted electronically. Control panels are located next to your bed. Your nurse will explain how you can control them. For your safety, the side rails of your bed are raised. If the side rails of your bed are raised, press the help button before attempting to get out of the bed.
The calling button is located on your bed. When the button is activated, the nursing station is alerted that you need some assistance. The staff member will respond to your signal as soon as possible. Also, each bathroom has a button for emergencies.
When you decide to visit our hospital and come to Istanbul, we will meet you at the airport to welcome you. You will then get acquainted with the hospital staff and the doctors, then you will be briefed about the surgery and the post-operative period. We are a dedicated, understanding team that takes care of each and every aspect of our patients’ limb-lengthening journey. We will inform you about the duration of your hotel stay prior to your trip. We offer 2 packages, which include a hotel stay (depending on your preference), food – 3 times in one day, wound dressing, physiotherapy, and regular check-ups.
Our cleaning staff will come to your room every day for cleaning. If you are sleeping or the schedule is not suitable for you, they will come back later or the next day.
Your diet is an important part of your recovery. Our goal is to provide you with an enjoyable dining experience while at the facility. Our menus offer wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals. If you are on a special diet prescribed by your physician, you will receive meals tailored to those specific needs. Your meal may be delayed if you are scheduled for a special test or treatment. Whenever possible, your meal will be served soon after your test or examination is completed. If not, please inform a member of your care team. We hope you will enjoy our high-quality food service.
You can always contact your patient consultant who speaks your native language to solve problems with follow-up procedures, appointments, or any other issues. We will do our best to make you one of us and not make you feel like a foreigner in our country.
The success of a surgical operation always requires good follow-up care. The nurse who will assist you during the postoperative period will come to visit you at the hotel and make the necessary health checks. If you need a nurse or if you wish, the nurse will also see you in person. You will also undergo the necessary medical examinations under the supervision of your doctor at predetermined intervals.
We are aware of the importance of regular physical therapy after limb-lengthening surgical procedures, so we recognize the fact that many of our patients would need help and assistance, in this regard.
